Historical Property Analysis, Historical Designation, Project Management
The Redstone Castle is a 116-year-old historic mansion located in Redstone Colorado that served as the residence for John Cleveland Osgood. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, which made it the first property to be listed in Pitkin County. BendonAdams has assisted the recent owners through a local designation and historic incentives process that successfully concluded in the fall of 2018. Through an extensive historical analysis of all structures and uses on the property, our team was able to work with Davis Horn Inc. and Pitkin County Staff to rezone the property allowing for additional uses, conditional uses, preservation efforts, and accessibility to the public.
