Historical Property Analysis, Historical Designation, Project Management
The Highland Bavarian Lodge is one of the earliest, if not the first, developed ski resort lodges in Colorado, and was one of the first attempts to translate European style skiing to the western slopes. Through the tireless efforts of those who founded the Highland Bavarian Lodge Corporation, acknowledged Pitkin County as a skiing destination, and connected the Valley to future Aspen patron Elizabeth Paepke. BendonAdams is working with Davis Horn Inc. and Pitkin County Staff in the designation of this property on the Pitkin County Historic Register. The designation process is underway and expected to conclude in the Spring of 2018.
